Vettaikaran - what a mess ?

Vettaikaran - shouldn't that be named a rehash of Sivakasi, Tirupaatchi, and other old Vijay movies. My GOD ! not again ..

Same story, hero comes to city to study (??) , works as auto driver, questions villans , gets beaten up, starts a revenge camp (called detective agency) and finally takes revenge (intelligent twist at the end !!?? reminded be of Dhool). Amidst of all this, he meets our heroine and dances for some catchy tunes.

To admit, I am a Vijay fan. I enjoy Vijay movies, his style and his dialogue delivery. My kids adore him. But I have this to ask this question to Vijay .. What are u doing ?. Are you aware of your career graph and that your movies are not doing well ?. Just having big production houses near you may not help. Wake up and look around .. there are young people with new ideas and good talent. Rajini style might have worked in 80's and 90's .. but now just to depend on that won't help. For that fact, even Rajini have done some great stories in his career, before turning to masala hero. I hope you wake up soon and give your best shot ... We are ready to watch you in different characters ..

Traffic in Bangalore

Many post, many emails have been written about Bangalore traffic. I have had my share too. But being a person I am, I have not hated Bangalore or lost my nerves.

Wednesday - 17th June 2009 - just made my life worse. When I started off from home, things were looking better. I had some plans to go out of office in the afternoon, so I had started a bit early than usual. When I reached the airport road and accounts office junction, things became very bad. The traffic jam was so bad that, I had to just switch off and sit and watch the other beings on the road. Once I started moving, I was just going in 1 and 2 gear and it took almost 45 minutes to cross 3 KM.

The effect this had on me was bad. I know I know. I am the sole reason for my moods and can't blame traffic for it. But I was feeling helpless. After spending horrible 1.5 hrs on the road, I felt I have wasted a lot of time. I ended up canceling my OOO plans. What became worse was while coming back, some roads were diverted. So ended up spending another 1 hr on the road which usually takes max 40 minutes.

I ended up being sulky the entire evening. WFH next day :(. I am looking at options now - really.
The options are
1) car pooling
2) Bus
3) changing my work place

I am thinking .. wait till my next post ..
